SERVICE
APproach

As a Behaviour Consultant, I practice and promote a cooperative behavioural approach - one that is inclusive, play-based, trauma-informed, and neurodiversity affirming. I believe in meeting a child where they are at, utilizing the child’s strengths and interests to support areas for development, and building upon a child’s skill set at their own pace.
I focus on meaningful skill building, and coaching and empowering caregiver(s). I create and optimize learning opportunities through play and/or within the child’s natural environment(s).

Service Provided

I provide behaviour consulting services with children aged 2-15 with various diagnoses and developmental capabilities. I have extensive experience learning together with individuals with Autism, Down Syndrome, ADHD, and/or PDA profiles.

Through play, we practice skills to support the achievement of behavioural goals (listed below). Services may be provided to families within the home and community (e.g. FSCD) or within preschool (e.g. PUF). Services may include: observation/assessment, development of behavioural goals and programming, behavioural education, coaching/empowering caregiver(s) to support their child’s development, coaching/training Aides to carry out behavioural programming, monitoring progress, collaboration with the child’s multi-disciplinary team, and the like.

FSCD Services Include:

BDS, Specialized Services, Clinical Coordination
